Tubeless Tire Inflation Principle
The principle of tubeless tire inflation is to use the airtightness to instantly make the outer wall of the tire and the inner wall of the hub fit together to achieve the inflation effect. Relying on the outside edge of the tire and the inside edge of the hub and the internal air pressure of the tire make the surface fit tightly.
The so-called tubeless tires are mainly "low pressure tires" and "tubeless tires", which are radial tires and bias tires. Tubeless tires have high elasticity, strong adhesion, and good heat dissipation. Because the crown angle of radial tires is zero, when the car is at high speed, it can maintain high stability, and the friction force is relatively small, which can reduce the vibration and impact and increase the speed. From the structural surface, tubeless tires are much thicker than ordinary tube-type tires, and the surface is a layer of grease rubber, so most cars now use tubeless tires.
Features of Tubeless Tires
1. Advantages of tubeless tires
It has good air tightness, can ensure long-term air leakage, low tire working temperature, long service life, simple structure, light weight, when a tire puncture occurs during driving, the pressure will not drop sharply, and it can still ensure safe driving. It will only fail when the tire bursts.
2. Disadvantages of tubeless tires
Difficult to repair on the way. In addition, the self-adhesive layer can only bring and close the perforation when the perforation size is within a small range, and it is difficult to bond if the size is slightly larger; when the outside temperature is too high, the self-adhesive layer may soften and flow, thereby destroying the balance of the tire.
3. Requirements for the bead of tubeless tires
Tubeless tires are similar in appearance to tires with inner tubes. Since this type of tire does not have an inner tube, the difference between the bead and the wheel load is that there is a rubber layer and a self-adhesive layer specially designed for sealing on the inner wall. When the tire is punctured, it must have a good sealing self-adhesive layer that can self-adhere the punctured hole. Usually, several annular grooves are made on the tire bead. Under the action of the air pressure in the tire, these grooves can make the tire bead firmly adhere to the copper edge of the wheel to ensure the air tightness between the tire and the wheel auxiliary. Of course, there are also some tubeless tires whose bead is smooth and not grooved.
